About us

Every Sunday morning we hold a Eucharist celebration at 11am – a service of Word and Sacrament. Once a month we hold a Sunday afternoon Eucharist service in Swahili  at 2pm. We worship through the proclamation of the Gospel and celebration of the Eucharist with music reflecting the diversity of the congregation. To read more about us, click here.

Music is important to our worship and this is reflected in the evening Bach Vespers (6.30pm) and special evening services on feast days. For concerts held at the church, please visit Music-at-Hill. For news and other events see our Facebook page.

St Anne’s is a congregation of the Lutheran Church of Great Britain (LCiGB), and is member of both the Porvoo Communion and the Lutheran World Federation. The LCiGB is also a member of the Council of Lutheran Churches, which is a member of Churches Together in England.

Children's and Family Ministry

“Let the little children come to me, and do not stop them; for it is to such as these that the kingdom of heaven belongs.” -Matthew 19:14

Our 11am worship services are child-friendly, and we worship together as a community of all ages. Children’s addresses take place every Sunday, before the main sermon. During the main sermon, children are invited to join in an activity in the back of the church before returning to their families to participate in the rest of the service.

Sunday School takes place on the second and fourth Sunday of the month after the 11am service (during term time). Other events for children and families such as Make & Bakes, Church Plays, and Community Walks take place throughout the year.

If you are interested in being involved in any of these activities or ministries, you can find out details of volunteering through the Contact Us form.
