Internships at St Anne’s

St Anne’s has a long and happy history of offering Internships to students from overseas.

We offer experience in the following areas:

 ·        Children’s work

·        Youth Work

  ·        Pastoral Care

                  ·        Church Administration

                                  ·        Leading Worship and Preaching

St Anne’s is a friendly, multicultural place to work. We pray together daily, and that forms the basis of our work together. We actively encourage our Interns to explore their faith and their vocation while they are with us.

Everyone has asked how I ended up here at St. Anne’s and I have probably told it a million times, but what is one more time? It was by pure chance, other options for my internship did not work out and really I was panicking. St. Anne’s website popped up off the ELCA website and I was intrigued. So many different people in one place, the ministry would have to extensive. I wanted to know more and that is where Pastor Jana and I began to communicate back and forth. I wanted to have an international internship and go somewhere amazing, but after circumstances and life getting in the way I had given up on the idea. Here it was staring me in the face - who would say no? -  and I knew this was the door God had opened for me. Now here I am, getting ready to leave and return home. This truly was the place where I saw my abilities shine through and I grew in confidence to do and teach what I knew I could. It will always hold a special place in my heart and in my growth into becoming a great teacher.

How did you find St. Anne’s?
We have to do one internship for our studies. I decided not to do it in Germany. Then I thought about where to go and I realized that I have never been in England. I googled “Lutheran Church London” and St. Anne’s was my first hit. I wrote an Email, got an answer and decided to go.
