Children's
church
-
Children's church at St Anne's is for all children under 13 years of age.
-
We meet during
the morning service, while the Gospel is read and the sermon and prayers
are said.
-
Activities are fun,
hands on and not too formal. They are aimed at encouraging children to take their
first steps along the path of faith, as well as discovering their
Lutheran identity. A structured programme progresses week by week
-
Many children over
7 years old take communion after special instruction
-
Confirmation
classes start at about 10 years of age and are taught by arrangement
with the Pastor. We explore aspects of what it means to be a Young Lutheran
in the 21st century in a friendly but challenging way
-
Each week is
self contained so feel free to attend at any time. However, regular
attendance is encourage to give a feeling of continuity. Stickers
are issued for good attendance
-
The children are
encouraged to participate in the service as assistant ushers acolytes
-
There are two
children's plays each year during the morning services
