In darkness of night, we receive the light of Christ and celebrate God’s continuing glory. ‘Sleeper, awake! Rise from the dead, and Christ will shine on you.’ (Ephesians 5:14b)
During this solemn service time is given for silence, prayer and reflection. As we focus on the cross, we end the service reminded of the triumph and redemption received through Christ’s death and resurrection.
Join us for the beginning of the Triduum, the period of Three Days. During this service we receive the gift of the Lord’s Supper and end with the stripping of the altar.
Please note the earlier start time of this service which will begin in the garden (weather permitting!). The service will include a reading of the Passion according to St Matthew.
